Based on article 1 paragraph (1) Government Regulation number 24 of 2016 concerning Amendment to Government Regulation number 37 of 1998 concerning the Position of Land Deed Making Officials, PPAT is a public official who is given the authority to make authentic deeds regarding certain legal actions regarding the rights to land or ownership rights over apartment units. PPAT Main Duties
For the main tasks of PPAT, it can be seen based on article 2 of Government Regulation number 37 of 1998 concerning Regulation of Land Deed Making Officials. PPAT’s task is to carry out some land registration activities by making deeds as evidence of certain legal actions regarding land rights or ownership rights over apartment units which are used as the basis for registering changes to land registration data as a result of these legal actions.
The legal actions referred to are sale and purchase, exchange, grant, entry into the company (inbreng), sharing of joint rights, granting rights to build / use rights or land ownership rights, granting mortgage rights, and granting power of attorney to impose mortgages.
Well, based on the provisions contained in Article 3 of Government Regulation No. 37 of 1998 to carry out the main tasks as mentioned above, PPAT is given the authority to make authentic deeds of eight types of legal acts mentioned above. You understand, right?
